Major Justin Hamm, a U.S. Army officer with 12 years of service, will be honored as this week's "Tribute to the Troops" honoree presented by Crown Royal during the Kansas City Chiefs' home game against the Washington Commanders at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Hamm began his military career as an Infantry Platoon Leader, responsible for training and managing a 40-person unit in tactical operations and mission execution. He was later promoted to Company Commander, overseeing 150 soldiers. Describing his experience, Hamm said, "I managed complex missions, developed junior leaders, and ensured the company met all strategic objectives. Throughout my career, I've led diverse teams in high-pressure environments, coordinated large-scale operations, and maintained accountability for millions of dollars in equipment – all while building strong, resilient teams capable of performing in dynamic and challenging conditions."

His service includes two deployments to Afghanistan. Reflecting on his time in the Army, Hamm stated, "Serving 12 years in the Army has been a transformative experience. It has challenged me to lead under pressure, develop others, and grow into a resilient, mission-focused leader capable of managing people, operations, and resources in any environment."

Currently stationed at the School of Advanced Military Studies at Fort Leavenworth near Kansas City, Hamm continues his commitment to serving others. During Monday night's game against the Commanders, fans will have an opportunity to recognize his dedication.

"Being recognized by the Kansas City Chiefs is a deeply humbling and meaningful honor," Hamm said. "It's incredibly rewarding to see the values we live by in the military such as duty, teamwork, and perseverance acknowledged and celebrated by an organization that embodies those same principles on and off the field."
