Polar Plunge returns to Jackson County's Longview Lake in January

The Annual Polar Plunge, an event supporting the Special Olympics, is set to take place on January 25, 2025, at Longview Lake in Jackson County. This year, there are 372 participants registered for the event.

Participants in the plunge must be at least ten years old and are required to raise a minimum of $75 each by the day of the event. Every team member must meet this fundraising requirement.

In 2024, the Kansas City Plunge saw participation from 480 individuals and successfully raised over $123,800 for the cause.
