Three individuals have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Kansas City, Missouri, this week for illegal re-entry into the United States after prior deportation. Each case involves different charges concerning unlawful re-entry.
Jesus Enriquez-Vasquez, a 32-year-old Mexican national, was charged with illegal re-entry after being previously deported on January 24, 2019. He was found again in the United States on March 3, 2025, without having obtained permission to re-enter from the Attorney General or the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
Victor Hugo Vasquez Perez, 31, a Guatemalan national residing in Independence, Missouri, faces charges for possession of a fraudulent immigration document, possession of unlawfully produced identification documents, and improper entry.
Noe Alberto Hernandez-Perez, a 31-year-old from Honduras residing in Kansas City, Missouri, was charged similarly with illegal re-entry and additionally with resisting and impeding an officer. He had been deported previously on June 12, 2015, and found in the United States again on March 16, 2025, without proper authorization.
These charges serve as accusations, not evidence of guilt. The burden of proof rests on presenting evidence to a federal trial jury tasked with determining guilt or innocence.
The investigations leading to these indictments were conducted by ICE Homeland Security Investigations. These cases fall under Operation Take Back America, a nationwide effort to address illegal immigration, dismantle cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and safeguard communities against violent crime.
