Today, Governor Mike Parson announced Mick Campbell as the Acting Director of the Department of Commerce and Insurance (DCI), starting January 1, 2025. Campbell is currently the Commissioner of Finance for DCI.

"We have announced that Mick Campbell will serve as acting director of the Department of Commerce and Insurance for the remainder of our administration," stated Governor Parson. "Mick answered our call to serve as Commissioner of Finance in 2022, and we thank him for answering our call now. He has impressed us with his leadership and we are confident in his ability to lead DCI for the remainder of my time in office."

Campbell was appointed Commissioner of Finance by Governor Parson in June 2023. He will temporarily fill the role left vacant by Director Chlora Lindley-Myers, who retired on December 31.

Before becoming Commissioner of Finance, Campbell served as Acting Commissioner from January 2022 and previously held the position of Deputy Commissioner. His tenure with the Division of Finance began in 2004. A lifelong Missouri resident from Mt. Vernon, Campbell holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Administrative Management from Missouri State University.
