City of Kansas City MO Health Department - RSV May Be Especially Hard on Older Adults and Infants Younger Than 6 Months of Age

RSV may be especially hard on older adults and infants younger than 6 months of age. They are the ones most often hospitalized with it because of trouble breathing and dehydration. 

In the most severe cases, a person may require additional oxygen or IV fluids.
