Cost of college went up for all students at the Kansas City Art Institute

Tuition and fees rose 1.6 percent for 2018-19 at the Kansas City Art Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Missouri students paid $38,400 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $600 more than the $37,800 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 171 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.7 million and 133 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (672), 659 students used grants or scholarships totaling $14.5 million, and 460 students took out $2.2 million in federal student loans.
