The Kansas City Chiefs have won their second consecutive game, bringing their record above .500 and resulting in a significant rise in various NFL power rankings.

According to Bleacher Report, the Chiefs are now ranked third, behind only the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Rams. The publication noted, "After a slow start, the Chiefs are rolling again. Mahomes can drop to pass, with multiple weapons to exploit. Rice is tremendous after the catch. Xavier Worthy's field-tilting speed provides instant offense. Tyquan Thornton has shown so much improvement. Hollywood Brown brings a veteran presence among the wide receivers. Meanwhile, tight end Travis Kelce can still get the job done."

The Ringer placed the Chiefs at the top of its latest rankings for Week 8. Diante Lee of The Ringer wrote, "If we see anything close to this version of the Chiefs' offense the rest of the way, it's hard not to imagine the Chiefs making another run through the AFC."

Other outlets have also recognized Kansas City's recent performance:

- USA Today ranked them No. 1.

- Yahoo! Sports listed them at No. 1.

- CBS Sports placed them at No. 2.

- NFL.com ranked them No. 3.

- The Sporting News and The New York Times both put them at No. 4.

- ESPN gave them a ranking of No. 7.

- Pro Football Talk listed them at No. 8.

- FOX Sports ranked them at No. 9.

These rankings reflect increased optimism about the Chiefs' prospects following their latest victory.
