Sporting Kansas City ended its 2025 season with a 0-0 draw against the Houston Dynamo at Children's Mercy Park. The club now enters the offseason, with key roster events scheduled for November and December ahead of preseason training in January 2026.

Johann Ortiz, a midfielder for Sporting Kansas City II, has joined El Salvador's U-20 Men's National Team for the Central American Games. El Salvador will play Guatemala on Tuesday and Nicaragua on Thursday. Ortiz appeared in 26 matches for SKC II during the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season, scoring one goal and leading the team with four assists.

Fans have until Tuesday evening to use free shipping on orders over $24 at MLSstore.com by entering code MLS24 at checkout. The offer includes new Sporting Kansas City merchandise for fall.

Voting is open for Major League Soccer’s Save of the Year award, and Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper John Pulskamp is the only player nominated twice among the 16 finalists. Voting ends Friday and can be completed online at MLSsoccer.com. Pulskamp was named Defensive Player of the Year after making 120 saves this season—the third-highest total in a single regular season in club history and also ranking third among all MLS goalkeepers this year—while playing every minute across all competitions.

The Sporting KC Academy continues its participation in the 2025-26 MLS NEXT campaign with a doubleheader against FC Cincinnati this Saturday at Mercy Health Training Center in Milford, Ohio. The U-15 and U-18 teams play at 8:30 a.m., followed by the U-16s at 10:30 a.m. Updates are available via @SKCAcademy on X.
