The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing to host the Detroit Lions at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, October 12. The game will feature several activities and services for fans attending the event.
As part of the evening, the Chiefs will recognize the NFL's Crucial Catch campaign, which is in its 17th season. The initiative aims to increase awareness about cancer screenings and has reached 1.9 million people through education and screening reminders. According to the NFL and American Cancer Society, more than $35 million has been raised for cancer research, with over 840,000 screenings provided in underserved communities.
Fans can learn more about Crucial Catch by visiting NFL.com/CrucialCatch.
Entertainment for the night includes a national anthem performance by Grace Kinstler, an American Idol finalist and Berklee College of Music graduate. The Emporia Police Department Honor Guard will present the colors before kickoff. At halftime, Lost Wax Band will lead a tribute to Crucial Catch with participation from Season Ticket Members and honorees from The University of Kansas Cancer Center.
A new YouTube series called Secret Chiefs will also be highlighted during tailgating festivities. Fans interested in participating can apply online at chiefs.com/fans/secretchiefs.
