The Kansas City Chiefs secured a 37-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, marking Head Coach Andy Reid's 200th regular-season game with the team. Under Reid's leadership, the Chiefs have achieved 145 wins, the most in the NFL during his tenure. The team has maintained a winning season each year since Reid took over and has reached the playoffs in all but one of those seasons.
Defensively, Kansas City held Baltimore—who entered with the league’s highest scoring offense—to just 20 points. Prior to Sunday, Baltimore had scored at least 30 points in every game this season and had dropped 40 points twice. The Chiefs limited them to only 13 points before the fourth quarter. Since early 2023, Baltimore has been held to 13 or fewer points entering the fourth quarter only nine times; Kansas City is responsible for three of those instances.
Kansas City's defense forced two turnovers for a second consecutive week. Linebacker Leo Chenal intercepted Lamar Jackson in what could have been a key Ravens drive, while linebacker Drue Tranquill recovered a Jackson fumble later in the first half.
The Chiefs' pass rush pressured Lamar Jackson on more than half of his dropbacks (51.9%), with George Karlaftis and Nick Bolton leading in individual pressures.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw four touchdown passes, becoming both the youngest player (30 years and 11 days old) and fastest (116 games) in NFL history to reach 250 career touchdown passes.
Wide receiver Xavier Worthy returned from injury to lead Kansas City with 121 yards from scrimmage—83 receiving and 38 rushing—averaging over 17 yards per touch.
Mahomes connected for touchdowns with four different players: JuJu Smith-Schuster, Isiah Pacheco, Tyquan Thornton, and Hollywood Brown. This is only the third time this season any NFL team has had four different receivers catch a touchdown pass in one game; it is also Kansas City's first such occurrence since Week 7 of last year.
Tyquan Thornton continued his strong start to the season by catching his third touchdown in as many games and now ranks third in average yards per catch among NFL receivers through four weeks.
After falling behind early, Kansas City outscored Baltimore by a margin of 37-6 until late in the final quarter. The Chiefs’ total was their highest single-game point output since Week 3 of last season.
With this win—and following an upset loss by division-leading Los Angeles—the Chiefs are now just one game behind the Chargers in AFC West standings as they pursue their tenth straight division title.
