The Kansas City Chiefs are set to host the Chicago Bears on Friday, August 22 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The game will feature several pregame activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing the fan experience and supporting local causes.

Julian Lerner will perform the national anthem, accompanied by a color presentation from Van Horn High School JROTC. The event is also designated as the annual Chiefs Charity Game, now in its 41st year. This season’s beneficiary is Jackson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization that supports children who have experienced abuse or neglect through volunteer advocacy. According to the team, "Recognized as the top philanthropic game of its type in the NFL, the Chiefs Charity Game continues a long-standing commitment of supporting the local community that was started by team founder Lamar Hunt more than four decades ago."

Parking lots open at 2:30 p.m., with fans encouraged to purchase parking passes ahead of time via www.chiefs.com/stadium/parking/. All tickets and parking passes are mobile-only and should be accessed before arrival using www.mychiefsaccount.com or the Chiefs Mobile app. Traffic is expected to be heavy due to rush hour and ongoing construction near Interstates 435 and 70; fans are advised to arrive early and check real-time updates through resources like KC Scout (www.kcscout.com/) or WAZE.

For those not attending in person, radio coverage will be available on KFNZ-FM (96.5 The Fan) with Mitch Holthus, Danan Hughes, and Josh Klingler calling the action. Spanish-language broadcasts can be accessed via Audacy’s "Chiefs en Espanol" stream within Kansas City or on KSSA La Ke Buena (105.9 FM) in Garden City, Kansas, and KSMM 1770 AM in Liberal, Kansas. Television coverage will air on KSHB/Chiefs Preseason TV Network with Ari Wolfe, Trent Green, Kimmi Chex, and Matt McMullen.

Stadium gates open at 5 p.m., with CommunityAmerica Club Level access beginning at 4:30 p.m. Fans are reminded to save their digital tickets for faster entry.

The Ford Tailgate District opens at 3 p.m., offering free access for all fans with food trucks, games, live music from Superstar Mafia and DJ Lazer hosted by Spencer Davis, plus a performance from Junior Chiefs Cheerleaders.

This week’s Drum Honoree is Carlos Carson—former wide receiver and member of the Chiefs Hall of Fame—while U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Emily Luzum will serve as Tony DiPardo Spirit Leader.

The Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat honor goes to John Fales this week. Fales has been a Season Ticket Member for over five decades and has contributed significantly as President of the Kansas Dental Charitable Foundation.

A portion of proceeds from this week’s Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle will benefit Jackson County CASA. Fans both inside GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and online within Missouri or Kansas can participate until late in Friday's game; winners do not need to be present.

Concession stands continue value pricing for select items such as hot dogs, pretzel bites, popcorn ($5 each), along with value sodas throughout various locations in stadium facilities.

All points of sale remain cashless; payment options include credit/debit cards as well as mobile tap methods like Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Security measures include enforcement of the NFL clear bag policy; guests are encouraged not to bring bags when possible for quicker entry procedures. Assistance is available through Fan Experience contacts provided by phone or email before kickoff.

Key times for Friday’s event include:

- Parking gates opening at 2:30 p.m.

- Ford Tailgate District opening at 3:00 p.m.

- General stadium gates opening at 5:00 p.m.

- Team introductions beginning shortly after 7:15 p.m.
