Sporting Kansas City has completed a trade with CF Montreal, securing $175,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) in exchange for a 2025 international roster spot. The deal will provide Sporting with $75,000 in GAM for the 2025 season and an additional $100,000 in GAM for the 2026 season.
Following this transaction, Sporting Kansas City now holds seven international spots on its 2025 roster. Six of these spots are currently filled by Zorhan Bassong, Joaquin Fernandez, Manu Garcia, Dejan Joveljic, Alan Montes and Shapi Suleymanov. One spot remains available.
The club is scheduled to face the Seattle Sounders this weekend at Lumen Field. The match will be nationally televised on Sunday night at 8:15 p.m. CT with coverage on FS1, FOX Deportes, Apple TV+, MLS Season Pass and Sports Radio 810 WHB.
