Sporting Kansas City II will continue their road trip this week with a match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, British Columbia. The game is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 8 p.m. CT and will be streamed on MLSNEXTPro.com.

SKC II comes into the contest after earning their first win of the season, defeating LAFC 2 by a score of 3-1 last Sunday. Maouloune Goumballe opened the scoring, while Medgy Alexandre and captain Cielo Tschantret also found the net for Kansas City.

Goalkeeper Jacob Molinaro recorded a career-high six saves during the victory over LAFC 2. Molinaro now has four results this season and is tied with Jack Kortkamp for games played among former Academy goalkeepers, each appearing in seven matches.

Tschantret has started every match so far this year and scored his second goal of the season to help secure the win. His goal was assisted by Shane Donovan from a corner kick. Donovan now has two assists this season and has started in 14 out of his 16 appearances during his first professional campaign.

Goumballe’s goal against LAFC 2 marked his first of the year. The former Indiana Hoosier leads SKC II with four total goal contributions (one goal and three assists). Alexandre scored what proved to be the decisive goal after sending a shot off the post in the 77th minute; he has now scored in two of his last three matches.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 enters Thursday’s matchup in sixth place in the Western Conference under head coach Ricardo Clark. The team holds a home record of four wins, four losses, and two draws, earning results in each of their last three outings. Forward Nelson Pierre leads Vancouver’s attack with eleven goals, tying him for third most in MLS NEXT Pro this season.

After facing Vancouver, Sporting KC II will conclude a stretch of three matches within eight days when they host Austin FC II at Children’s Mercy Victory Field on Sunday, August 3. Tickets for that match and all remaining SKC II home games are available through SeatGeek.com.
