The Kansas City Chiefs continued their training camp on Wednesday morning, marking the second practice session as they prepare for the upcoming season. As the three-time defending AFC champions took to the field, several key moments and performances stood out.

Wide receiver Tyquan Thornton was highlighted for making an impressive full-extension catch during a 7-on-7 drill. Thornton, who joined the Chiefs after being drafted by the New England Patriots in 2022, showcased his speed and skill with this standout play.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected with wide receiver Hollywood Brown for a significant downfield play during team drills. This connection came after Mahomes had previously teamed up with Xavier Worthy for a big gain in Tuesday's practice. Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo noted that such explosive plays help both offensive and defensive units improve.

Defensive back Chris Roland-Wallace made a notable diving pass-breakup during 7-on-7 drills. The rookie free agent from last year continues to impress as he builds on his experience from appearing in all 17 games last season.

Mahomes also demonstrated his skill with a sidearm throw to wide receiver Rashee Rice during an 11-on-11 segment. Rookie Jalen Royals caught attention with a touchdown reception, while rookie tight end Jake Briningstool made a physical catch at the goal line.

The injury report included offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor, cornerback Kristian Fulton, and tight end Tre Watson, all of whom remain on the "Physically Unable to Perform" list. The rest of the roster participated in Wednesday's practice.

The Chiefs are scheduled to continue their training camp on Thursday.
