Sporting Kansas City II has signed Academy forward Kashan Hines to an MLS NEXT Pro amateur contract. The announcement comes ahead of the team's game against North Texas SC, scheduled for tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT at Children's Mercy Victory Field.

The amateur contract allows Hines to maintain his NCAA eligibility as it is signed on a single-game basis. He will be available for selection in the home game this evening.

Hines joined the Sporting Kansas City Academy in Spring 2023 and debuted at the Patterson Cup with Sporting's U-14s. Over time, he has played with the U-15s, U-16s, and U-18s teams, participating in significant MLS NEXT events. In 2024, he contributed to Sporting's U-15s achieving second place in the GA Cup Premier Bracket and scored during the first round of the 2024 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs. This year, he divided his time between the U-16s and U-18s while training with Sporting KC II throughout summer.

Head coach Istvan Urbanyi's team will face North Texas SC tonight at Children's Mercy Victory Field. Tickets are available through SeatGeek.com, and viewers can watch live on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.
