Sporting Kansas City II will face North Texas SC at Children's Mercy Victory Field in Kansas City, Missouri, on Friday night. The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. CT. Tickets are available for $10 on SeatGeek.com, and the game can be watched via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

This match is the second of three encounters between the two Frontier Division teams this season. In their previous meeting, SKC II overcame a 3-1 deficit to secure a shootout victory against North Texas SC on March 28. Johann Ortiz and Gael Quintero scored late goals to level the score before goalkeeper Jacob Molinaro's crucial saves in the shootout.

Captain Cielo Tschantret opened his scoring account for 2025 with a goal against North Texas in that game. Carter Derksen, a Sporting KC Academy player, contributed by making the decisive penalty kick.

Jacob Molinaro has started six matches this season and ranks second among SKC II goalkeepers with 20 saves. Forward Maouloune Goumballe leads the team in assists with three, while Medgy Alexandre tops the scoring chart with two goals.

North Texas SC's head coach John Gall led his team to win the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup title. Currently fourth in the Western Conference, their key offensive player Samuel Sarver has scored ten goals and provided three assists this season.

After Friday's match against North Texas SC, SKC II will play away games against LAFC 2 and Vancouver Whitecaps 2 before hosting Austin FC II at Children's Mercy Victory Field on August 3. Tickets for these matches are available on SeatGeek.com.
