A Honduran national, Armando Guzman-Roque, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Springfield, Missouri, for illegal re-entry into the United States. The indictment charges Guzman-Roque with illegal reentry after being deported previously. It replaces an earlier criminal complaint filed on June 3, 2025.
Guzman-Roque, aged 40, is accused of having been removed from the United States at least twice before, on September 17, 2007, and November 14, 2008. "The charges contained in this indictment are simply accusations," and evidence supporting these charges must be presented to a federal trial jury to determine guilt or innocence.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Carney is prosecuting the case. The investigation was conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement - Enforcement and Removal Operations and Homeland Security Investigations.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America. This initiative aims to combat illegal immigration and eliminate cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators. It leverages resources from the Department of Justice's Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
