Governor Kehoe appoints nine to boards and commissions

Governor Mike Kehoe has announced the appointment of nine individuals to various boards and commissions. The appointments include professionals from diverse backgrounds, reflecting a range of expertise and dedication to public service.

Scott Boswell Sr. from Kansas City was appointed to the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners. Boswell, a retired chairman of Commerce Trust, is a professor at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. His involvement spans several community organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and the Kansas City Symphony Board.

Alphonso Hogan II of St. Louis joins the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission. Hogan has been a police officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department since 2015. His prior service in the United States Air Force adds to his experience in law enforcement.

Another appointee to the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission is Thomas Leasor from Wentzville. Leasor is the Executive Director of the Eastern Missouri Police Academy and is actively involved in law enforcement training and education.

Tracey Lewis of Kansas City was reappointed to the Missouri Housing Development Commission. Lewis is the President and CEO of the Economic Development Corporation and has previously been a senior figure at Commerce Trust Company.

Pat McCuthen from Jefferson City was appointed to the Missouri Sentencing Advisory Commission. With over two decades in police leadership, McCuthen plays an active role in community organizations focusing on youth and minority issues.

In St. Louis, Paul Ogier was appointed to the Health and Educational Facilities Authority of Missouri. Ogier has a long career in finance and serves on the boards of organizations like LeadingAge Missouri.

The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority welcomes Brian Strider and William "Billy" Thiel. Strider, a farmer and business development manager, emphasizes sustainable farming. Thiel, with a history of leadership in corn growers’ associations, brings his extensive agriculture experience.

Lastly, Tom Werdenhause from Jefferson City was appointed to the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Werdenhause's pre-retirement role as a CEO for an electric cooperative underlines his leadership in the utility sector.

These appointments exhibit a blend of experience and leadership, signaling Governor Kehoe’s aim to bolster the effectiveness of these public service bodies.
