Governor Mike Kehoe has announced three new appointments to various boards.
James "Kent" Oberkrom, from Clinton, will join the Board of Probation and Parole. His background includes serving as the Henry County Sheriff and working in the juvenile justice system as a deputy juvenile officer in the 27th Judicial Circuit. He is affiliated with both the Missouri Peace Officers Association and the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association, having held leadership roles in these organizations. Oberkrom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Central Missouri.
Bill Severn, hailing from Country Club, has been appointed to the Missouri Western State University Board of Governors. He brings experience as an executive vice president at News Press and Gazette Company, where he has worked for nearly 15 years. Severn graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Park Resource Management from Kansas State University.
Thaddus "Dan" Danford, based in Kansas City, will also serve on the Missouri Western State University Board of Governors. Danford is known for founding Family Investment Center, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm. His previous service includes a term on the same board he now rejoins. Additionally, he has been active in professional and civic organizations and served as president of the university's Alumni Association. Danford holds degrees including a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from Missouri Western State University, along with a Master of Science in Personal Finance from Kansas State University.
