Governor Mike Parson and First Lady Teresa Parson are inviting families to participate in the Candlelight Tours and annual tree lighting ceremony at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion. The event is scheduled for Friday, December 6, starting at 5:30 p.m., with the tree lighting followed by tours running until 8:00 p.m.

The Christmas tree for the Governor's Mansion will arrive on Monday, December 2, between 7 and 8 a.m., leading to a temporary closure of a portion of Madison Street. The Norway Spruce, standing at 40 feet tall, has been donated by Daryl and Sherry Richardson from Boone County.

Staff from the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Office of Administration will manage the installation of the tree on the Mansion lawn. Media coverage is welcomed during this process.

This year, additional decorations will be seen at both the Governor's Gardens and Maus House. A separate 30-foot Christmas tree will adorn the Governor's Gardens. Santa Claus along with Mrs. Claus will greet children at Maus House from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on December 11th, 13th, 17th, and 19th.

The theme for this year's celebration is "A Christmas Hug: The Farewell to the Parson Family." Visitors attending the Candlelight Tours can explore the decorated ground floor of the Governor's Mansion.

These tours are free and open to everyone. Attendees should enter through Madison Street gate.
