Jada Johnson of the KCKCC women's basketball team has been named the Conference Freshman of the Year, the conference office announced on Thursday. Johnson was also one of five players in the conference to be named to the First Team.
Johnson helped the Blue Devils to an 18-13 overall record, while leading the team with 14.0 points per game. She also had 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. Johnson also shot 46.5 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from three-point range.
