Children’s Mercy marked a significant step in the construction of its new clinic in northeast Wichita with a beam-raising ceremony on Thursday. The event, held near 29th and Greenwich, brought together guests who signed the final structural beam before it was installed.

Once completed, the new facility is expected to provide care for more than 10,000 pediatric patients from the surrounding region.

Dr. Amy Fallon, president of regional operations for Children’s Mercy, stated: “We are built for kids we talk about it all the time, CM is built for kids and what that means is that every aspect of the way we build our building the way we deliver our care is designed with kids and their families in mind and that’s something we take seriously, we are devoted to taking care of kids and their families.”

The clinic expansion reflects Children’s Mercy’s ongoing commitment to increase access to pediatric ambulatory and specialty services in Wichita.
