The Kansas City Chiefs are expanding their outreach to fans in Mexico City with a series of events centered around the “Sofá Rojo,” highlighting how supporters experience game day traditions both at home and at the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. This initiative is part of the team’s campaign, “El Kingdom se escucha en todo el mundo,” designed to strengthen connections with international fans.
The activities begin on September 4, when the Sofá Rojo will be unveiled at Glorieta de Cibeles. The installation aims to provide a meeting point for fans to express their enthusiasm for the Chiefs and listen to "The Stadium Sound," a playlist that brings the energy of a Kansas City game day atmosphere.
On September 5, the Sofá Rojo moves to the NFL Experience at Frontón Bucareli. Fans attending this event will have access to exclusive giveaways such as official pennants from Kansas City, and can watch a live broadcast of the Chiefs vs. Chargers game taking place in Brazil. There will also be a special screening of "Viva Chiefs Kingdom," a docuseries focusing on Mexican supporters of the team.
The final event takes place on Sunday, September 7, when the Sofá Rojo returns to NFL Experience for an all-day celebration focused on community and shared passion among Chiefs fans.
These events coincide with Kansas City's season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo on September 5 at Corinthians Arena. In Brazil, local fans will participate in “Chiefs House,” a two-day gathering featuring “Red Kingdom BR,” a Portuguese version of Tech N9ne’s anthem performed by pop singer Luísa Sonza.
"El Kingdom se escucha en todo el mundo" no es solo un eslogan; es una celebración de los aficionados que hacen suyo el Kingdom, dondequiera que estén.
