Kansas City Chiefs announce fan guidelines ahead of home opener against Eagles

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, September 14 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The organization has released key information for fans attending the home opener.

Retired Navy Petty Officer First Class Generald Wilson will perform the National Anthem. According to the team, "Wilson is one of the country's most sought after singers of the National Anthem, singing the nation's song at nearly 1,000 events including NFL playoff games, MLB World Series, NHL Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Finals, Indy 500 races, Formula 1 Races and NCAA Championships. The Kinloch, Mo. native served 20 years in the United States Navy and has sung the National Anthem at well-known sporting events for nearly 25 years."

A B2 Spirit Stealth Bomber flyover from Whiteman Air Force Base is scheduled following the anthem. The City of Olathe Fire Department will present Sunday's colors. Halftime entertainment features a performance by Langston University Marching Pride Band.

Parking lots open at 11 a.m., with fans encouraged to purchase parking passes in advance through www.gehafieldatarrowhead.com/plan-your-visit/parking-transportation/game-plan. Tickets and parking passes are mobile only; attendees should save them to their mobile wallets before arrival. Real-time traffic updates can be found via KC Scout (www.kcscout.com/) or Waze.

Those not attending can listen on KFNZ-FM (96.5 The Fan) with Mitch Holthus, Danan Hughes and Josh Klingler providing commentary. Spanish-language coverage is available on Audacy’s “Chiefs en Espanol,” KSSA La Ke Buena (105.9 FM), and KSMM-AM 1770 with Oscar Monterroso, Hannah Bassham and Alvaro Alvarez.

Gates open at 1:30 p.m., while CommunityAmerica Club Level gates open earlier at 1 p.m. All tickets must be accessed via mobile devices prior to entry.

The Ford Tailgate District in Lot M opens at 11:30 a.m., offering food trucks, tailgating games and live music from Crossroad Sound and DJ Lazer. Special appearances include performances by Chiefs Rumble and Chiefs Cheerleaders as well as activations from several sponsors such as Bud Light Backyard and Omaha Steaks.

On game day, Tyrann Mathieu will serve as Drum Honoree on the GEHA Deck while Private First Class Tyler Dixon is named Tony DiPardo Spirit Leader.

The Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat presented by United Airlines honors Capt. Ronda Montgomery this week: "In 2020, Montgomery became the first woman to serve as captain of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office since its inception in 1827. She has served Jackson County since 1994. The 31-year Season Ticket Member has also served on the board of the Eastern Jackson County Youth Court, a nonprofit offering criminal justice alternatives for at-risk youth, for 20 years."

Proceeds from this week's Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle will benefit Ronald McDonald House Kansas City. Fans in Missouri or Kansas may participate online or purchase tickets in person until late in the game; winners do not need to be present.

GEHA Field offers accessibility services such as complimentary mobility carts and wheelchair support before and after games; sensory support including a Sensory Room presented by Window World; sensory kits; and a nursing lounge equipped for parents’ needs (details here).

Concessions continue value pricing with select items like hot dogs or pretzel bites available for $5 throughout various locations in addition to regular offerings.

All concession stands are cashless; payment options include credit/debit cards or mobile pay systems like Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Fans are reminded that NFL clear bag policy remains in effect (policy details). Attendees are encouraged not to bring bags if possible for faster entry (list of permitted/prohibited items).
