Several members of the Kansas City Chiefs' leadership team, including Chairman & CEO Clark Hunt and President Mark Donovan, visited the Ronald McDonald House in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday morning. The visit took place as the team prepared to kick off their season in Sao Paulo, continuing a tradition typically held in Kansas City.

During their time at the facility, Chiefs officials toured the premises and interacted with children and families staying there. The Ronald McDonald House organization operates seven facilities across Brazil, providing more than 100,000 overnight stays and over 563,000 meals in 2024.

"What a privilege it has been for our family and the organization to visit this Ronald McDonald House and to see the work that they're doing here in Sao Paulo," Hunt said. "We got to interact with some of the kids who were staying here and their families. The Ronald McDonald House here in Brazil is very strong. They have seven facilities across the country, and they're providing great services just like they do in Kansas City."

The Chiefs marked Red Friday by offering a limited-edition commemorative flag for sale online and at McDonald's locations throughout Kansas City. This marks the twelfth consecutive year of selling a Red Friday flag to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. Over $6.5 million has been raised for the charity since the start of this initiative.

"It's so important for us to give back, not only in Kansas City, but here on our trip to Brazil," Hunt said. "It was great to be able to visit the Ronald McDonald House this morning."
