Two residents of Independence, Missouri, April Henderson, 46, and Donnell Timley, 51, have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to drug trafficking and firearms offenses. The indictment alleges that both individuals conspired to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana. They are also charged with possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes. In addition, Timley faces an extra charge for being a felon in possession of firearms.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) executed a search warrant at their residence on August 28, 2025. During the search, agents reportedly found over one kilogram of cocaine, more than 300 grams of powder fentanyl, approximately 100 fentanyl pills, ten pounds of marijuana, and eight ounces of suspected liquid PCP. Authorities also seized five firearms and more than $66,000 in cash from the home. Both Henderson and Timley were arrested and made their initial appearances in federal court on August 29.

The indictment notes that these charges are accusations only; evidence supporting them must be presented at trial for a jury to determine guilt or innocence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Siegele is prosecuting the case. The investigation involved the DEA as well as support from agencies including the Kansas Highway Patrol, Internal Revenue Service, and Independence Police Department.
