The Kansas City Chiefs have entered into an international partnership with the German Federal Police (Bundespolizei), further expanding the club’s commercial presence in Germany and the DACH region.

As part of this collaboration, the German Federal Police will sponsor a Chiefs youth Flag Football camp scheduled for Thursday, September 18 at Sportpark Freiham in Munich. This venue is already home to the Chiefs Girls Flag Football League in Germany.

"We are extremely excited to partner with the Federal Police around this youth Flag Football camp in Munich," said Chiefs Vice President of Partnership Strategy Kellen Begnoche. "We continue to focus on growing the game of American football at all levels around the world and using Flag Football camps with support from groups like the German Federal Police is one way we are introducing the game of football to more youth."

Michael May from Federal Police Headquarters added, "Flag Football teaches teamwork, discipline, and perseverance – values that are also central to the Federal Police. That is why we are proud to partner with the Kansas City Chiefs and to encourage and challenge young people both on and off the field. This cooperation reflects our joint commitment to fairness, team spirit, and personal development. At the Munich camp, students aged 15-18 will have the opportunity to speak with our recruitment advisors and learn about the diverse tasks and career opportunities within the Federal Police. Using VR headsets and physical challenges inspired by our selection process, we will give students a hands-on insight into our wide range of responsibilities. A versatile sport like Flag Football is a perfect fit for us."

The partnership comes as part of broader efforts by NFL teams—including Kansas City—to expand their international reach through initiatives such as youth camps and community engagement programs. The Chiefs were awarded marketing rights for Germany under the NFL's Global Markets Program in December 2021 before extending those rights to Austria and Switzerland in April 2023. The team played its first regular season NFL game in Frankfurt against Miami Dolphins in November 2023, following earlier appearances such as an American Bowl preseason game held in Berlin in 1990.

The agreement was facilitated by Sportfive, a sports marketing agency based in Germany, which will also assist with organizing activities at the upcoming camp.
