Fans will have the opportunity to watch a new ESPN Original series, "The Kingdom," which will premiere on August 14 at 8 p.m. CT on both ESPN and Disney+. The six-part documentary covers the Kansas City Chiefs' history and their efforts during the 2024 NFL season as they aimed for a third consecutive world championship.

Filmed throughout the 2024 season, the series presents both the historical background of the franchise and a detailed account of its latest campaign. The Chiefs narrowly missed their goal in Super Bowl LIX, but according to the producers, their influence on professional football continues to be significant.

The program includes stories from Lamar Hunt's initial vision that led to the formation of the American Football League, as well as highlights from the team's three Super Bowl wins in recent years. Producers describe it as essential viewing for fans of both the Chiefs and the NFL.

"From Lamar Hunt's earliest designs for what would become the American Football League to the Chiefs' three Super Bowl championships over the last six years and everything in between, the series is appointment television for any fan of the NFL, let alone Chiefs Kingdom."

Additional details about "The Kingdom" can be found here.
