The Kansas City Chiefs have finalized their broadcast teams for the 2025 preseason, confirming the return of their television crew and introducing new members to both the Chiefs Radio Network and Tico Sports Spanish-language broadcasts.
Chiefs Vice President of Content and Production Robert Alberino, Jr. commented on the announcement: "We are excited to continue with a tremendous lineup to represent the club for the preseason broadcasts. Our goal is to consistently deliver world-class broadcasts to Chiefs Kingdom, and it all begins with a trip to Glendale, Arizona, to kick off the preseason against the Arizona Cardinals on August 9," Alberino said. "In addition, we're continuing our great partnerships with Audacy as well as Tico Sports for our radio broadcasts. The quality of broadcasts available to Chiefs Kingdom over the radio airwaves throughout preseason, regular season, and postseason are second-to-none and are reflective of the incredibly talented teams at the Chiefs Radio Network and Tico Sports."
For television coverage, Ari Wolfe will serve as play-by-play announcer for his sixth season. Trent Green returns as color commentator for his 15th year in this role. Kimmi Chex will work her fourth year as sideline reporter, while Matt McMullen continues into his fifth season providing sideline features and reports. All three preseason games will be produced by 65 Toss Power Trap Productions and aired locally on KSHB 41.
On radio, Audacy's 96.5 The Fan (KFNZ-FM) remains the flagship station for Chiefs games. Mitch Holthus will mark his 32nd season as play-by-play announcer after calling a record number of games for Kansas City and receiving multiple sportscaster awards in Kansas and Missouri. Danan Hughes returns as color commentator for his sixth year alongside Holthus; Josh Klingler also enters his sixth season reporting from the sidelines. Joshua Brisco joins this year as pregame and postgame show host on 96.5 The Fan, while Eric Townsend starts his first year as Executive Producer.
Tico Sports continues its Spanish-language coverage across all games in 2025. Oscar Monterroso takes on play-by-play duties in addition to executive producing; Hannah Bassham serves her second year as analyst after eight years covering sidelines and halftime shows; Alvaro Alvarez joins as sideline reporter; CiCi Rojas remains Executive Director overseeing operations with more than two decades of experience in media engagement.
Fans can listen to Tico’s Spanish-language broadcast via the Audacy app within Kansas City or tune into KSSA "La Ke Buena" (105.9 FM/1470 AM) in Garden City or Liberal, Kansas.
