Sporting Kansas City II will travel to Rochester, Minnesota, for a match against Minnesota United FC 2 at RCTC Stadium on Friday. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. CT and can be streamed on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV. This meeting is the second between the two Frontier Division teams this season, with their next encounter set for MLS NEXT Pro Decision Day on October 5.

Recently, Sporting KC II has shown improvement with two wins in their last three matches, both secured away from home. The team achieved its first victory of the season against LAFC 2 on July 27 and followed up by defeating Whitecaps FC 2 four days later. In that match, SKC II overcame a two-goal deficit in the second half to win 3-2.

Goalkeeper Jacob Molinaro, a product of the SKC Academy, was instrumental in these victories, recording a total of 14 saves across both games. He has started eight matches this season and has made 24 saves overall. Another goalkeeper, Jack Kortkamp, also started eight matches and tallied 34 saves while keeping his first clean sheet of the year against The Town FC.

Team captain Cielo Tschantret remains one of only two players to have started every match in 2025, accumulating 1,605 minutes and scoring twice. Midfielder Blaine Mabie joined SKC II on July 25 and has appeared in three matches so far, including his first professional start on August 3.

In recent games, Medgy Alexandre has played as striker under coach Istvan Urbanyi’s system. Alexandre scored four goals in his last three appearances—including his first professional brace during the win over Vancouver—and leads SKC II with six goals this season. Forward Maouloune Goumballe contributed two goals over the past three matches and leads the team with three assists.

MNUFC 2 is coached by Jeremy Hall and currently sits ninth in the Western Conference standings—two points behind Whitecaps FC 2 for the final playoff spot. Friday’s contest marks MNUFC 2’s debut at RCTC Stadium. Forward Luke Hille tops their scoring chart with nine goals from seventeen appearances.

Sporting KC II will return home for their next fixture against Dynamo Dos at Children’s Mercy Victory Field on Sunday, August 17. That match will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass at noon CT; tickets are available through SeatGeek.com for $10.
