The Kansas City Chiefs have announced a series of events to mark the beginning of the 2025 football season. The month-long celebration includes community activities, exclusive merchandise releases, preseason games, and special fan experiences both in Kansas City and internationally.

The festivities began with the unveiling of the 2025 Red Friday Flag, a tradition that supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. Throughout August and early September, fans can participate in several events such as the Red Friday Run presented by G.E.H.A., a virtual 5K open for registration starting August 6, and purchase limited-edition flags through Fanatics and McDonald's locations.

"There's nothing like the start of football season in Kansas City," said Chiefs President Mark Donovan. "This month-long celebration brings together our fans, players, and partners to honor what it means to be part of Chiefs Kingdom – here at home and around the world. Whether you're in Kansas City or cheering from afar, there's something for everyone to experience."

Key dates include preseason games against the Cardinals on August 9 at State Farm Stadium and against the Seahawks on August 15 at Lumen Field. The preseason concludes with a game against the Bears at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on August 22. The Chiefs Charity Game continues its philanthropic mission by supporting Jackson County CASA.

A new ESPN docuseries titled "The Kingdom," which chronicles the team's history and recent seasons, will premiere on August 14 across Disney+ and ESPN platforms. Fans interested in fantasy football can join an exclusive draft event at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on August 19 featuring ESPN's Field Yates.

On August 21, the organization will release its annual Chiefs Kingdom Impact Report detailing charitable work carried out over the past year.

GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will also host a college football matchup between Cincinnati and Nebraska on August 28 as part of the Battle Sports Kansas City Classic. Behind-the-scenes coverage returns with "The Franchise" Season 6 premiering on YouTube on August 29.

International outreach is highlighted by Chiefs House Brazil Activation on September 4-5 in São Paulo, offering fans entertainment and official watch parties ahead of the team’s regular season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers at Corinthians Arena. The game is scheduled for September 5 and will be broadcast exclusively online via YouTube platforms.

The first home game for the Chiefs takes place September 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium—a rematch of Super Bowl LIX.
