Sporting Kansas City is set to host San Diego FC for the first time at Children's Mercy Park on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 7:45 p.m. CT. The match will mark the return of the club's annual Sporting Salutes theme night. Tickets are available through SeatGeek, and fans can watch the game on Apple TV with an MLS Season Pass subscription or via national broadcasts on FS1 and FOX Deportes.

Local supporters can also view the match at several establishments in the Sporting Pub Network, including a watch party at No Other Pub in Kansas City Power & Light district. Fans attending this event in SKC gear will have access to discounted drinks and food starting at 5:45 p.m.

The deadline to register for the 2025 Sporting Classic youth soccer tournament is Monday. The event, presented by Verizon, will take place from September 5-7 across Central Bank Sporting Complex, Compass Minerals Sporting Fields, and Compass Minerals National Performance Center. Boys' and girls' teams ranging from U8/U9 to U14/U15 age groups are eligible to participate.

Additionally, four-day summer camps hosted by Sporting KC Youth Soccer begin Monday at Legacy Park in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Homefield in Olathe, Kansas. These camps are open to boys and girls of all skill levels.

Sporting KC Academy defender Luca Antongirolami has joined the U.S. Under-15 Boys' National Team for participation in the 2025 Concacaf Boys U-15 Championship held in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The United States will play group stage matches against Saudi Arabia on Monday (10 a.m.), Costa Rica on Wednesday (12 p.m.), and Canada on Thursday (10 a.m.). Matches will be streamed via Concacaf platforms.
