Sporting Kansas City II will return to Children's Mercy Victory Field for a match against Austin FC II after securing two consecutive wins on the road. The game is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. CT, with tickets available for $10 on SeatGeek.com. Fans can watch the match live on MLSNEXTPro.com and the MLS YouTube channel.

In their recent away matches, Sporting KC II overcame a two-goal deficit against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 by scoring three unanswered goals. Forward Maouloune Goumballe scored early in the second half, and Medgy Alexandre added two more goals, earning his first professional brace and leading SKC II to victory.

Alexandre and Goumballe have combined for five goals over the last two games. Alexandre leads the team this season with five goals, while Goumballe has contributed two goals and three assists.

The Sporting KC Academy has played an important role during the 2025 season. Goalkeeper Jacob Molinaro started both of the team's recent wins, bringing his total to six positive results in eight starts. He recorded a career-high eight saves against Vancouver and currently leads all SKC II goalkeepers with 34 saves.

Team captain Cielo Tschantret scored his second goal of the season during a win over LAFC 2 on July 27. Shane Donovan assisted on that goal with his second assist of the year from a corner kick. Another academy alum, midfielder Johann Ortiz, recorded his first assist of the season by setting up Alexandre's equalizer in Vancouver from another corner kick.

Austin FC II is coached by Brett Utley, who led them to an MLS NEXT Pro Cup title in 2023. The team holds seventh place in the Western Conference with a record of 6-5-7 and has allowed only 27 goals this season, tying for fewest conceded in their conference. Forward Jorge Alastuey leads Austin’s attack with four goals and four assists, including one goal against SKC II earlier this year.

Following Sunday's home match, Sporting KC II will travel again to face MNUFC 2 on August 8 at RCTC Stadium in Rochester, Minnesota.

The upcoming fixture marks Game 19 of Sporting KC II’s MLS NEXT Pro campaign.
