A photograph can capture the raw emotion of a moment, preserving it in time while telling a story. The Kansas City Chiefs are reflecting on some of the best photos from their 2024-25 season. In this series, they have reached No. 3 on their list.

The featured photo is titled "The Block Off," taken during Week 10 against Denver. Linebacker Leo Chenal blocked the Broncos' field goal attempt as time expired, securing a win for Kansas City. Sam Lutz captured this pivotal moment with a Canon EOS R3 at a focal length of 400 mm, an exposure time of 1/4,000, and an aperture of f/3.2.

Chiefs' Director of Photography Steve Sanders commented on the significance of the image: "This was such a big moment, and such a great play by Leo... It's just a peak moment. This picture may be worth 2,000 words."

Sanders also praised Lutz's preparedness: "You can never give up on the play... I'm sure, in Sam's mind, he just thought he was shooting a field goal that was going to win the game for Denver, but this turned into such an epic moment."

Upon seeing the photo for the first time, Sanders recalled Coach Toub's reaction: "Man, I hope you got a picture of that." Sanders noted that when he finally saw it in the photo workroom, it was already shared on Instagram.
