Ramon Arambula, a 44-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The indictment follows an incident on July 9, 2025, when Arambula was stopped while operating a vehicle. A drug detection K-9 indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle, leading officers to discover five brick-shaped packages containing approximately 5,892 grams of cocaine.
The indictment is based on accusations that require evidence to be presented at trial for a jury to determine guilt or innocence. Assistant U.S. Attorney Megan A. Baker is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by several law enforcement agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
This case is part of the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Co-located Strike Forces Initiative. This initiative aims to create permanent multi-agency task force teams that work collaboratively in intelligence-driven operations against priority targets involved in organized crime.
The OCDETF program focuses on identifying and dismantling major drug trafficking and transnational criminal organizations that pose significant threats to public safety and national security.
