Another Kansas City Chiefs player has made it into the "NFL Top 100" rankings. Following center Creed Humphrey's appearance at No. 93, cornerback Trent McDuffie secured the No. 81 spot in this annual ranking on Friday. These rankings aim to identify the league's top performers as voted by the players and are being released gradually over several weeks.
The rankings highlighted McDuffie's strong performance last season, stating: "[McDuffie] continued to deliver tremendous defensive balance [last season]. He's an able and willing tackler, as well as a physical eliminator of opponents' top pass catchers. He ranked third among corners in 2024 with an 83.1 PFF defensive grade."
Pro Football Focus also recognized McDuffie as the league’s third-best cornerback heading into 2025. As he enters his fourth professional season, McDuffie is poised to potentially end the year as the consensus top defensive back in the NFL.
