Children's Mercy has announced that it has achieved Magnet recognition for the sixth consecutive time. This honor underscores the hospital's dedication to nursing excellence and outstanding patient care. Children's Mercy is now among a select group, being the only healthcare system in Missouri or Kansas, and one of just two pediatric hospitals in the U.S., to receive six consecutive Magnet designations.

The Magnet designation is recognized as the highest distinction a healthcare organization can achieve for nursing excellence. It is awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is regarded as the gold standard for nursing practices and quality patient care.
