Sporting Kansas City is set to host the Seattle Sounders this Saturday at Children's Mercy Park for a match scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT. The event, part of the 2025 MLS Regular Season, will also celebrate Retro Night in honor of the club's history.

Tickets are available through SeatGeek, and fans can purchase SportingStyle merchandise online for pickup on match day. A special collection has been released to commemorate the 25-year anniversary of the 2000 Kansas City Wizards team that won both the Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup.

Fans with tickets for the Supporters' Stand can enjoy pre-game specials on drinks in the Budweiser Brew House, where players and coaches from the historic 2000 season will be present around 6 p.m.

Kerry Zavagnin, interim head coach for Sporting KC, and Preki, assistant coach for Seattle Sounders, were both part of the Wizards' lineup during their victorious 2000 MLS Cup final. Zavagnin holds a record for his long-standing association with SKC over 26 seasons.

The match will feature two teams known for their successes in both MLS Cup championships and U.S. Open Cup titles. Sporting KC achieved its first championship win at Children's Mercy Park against Seattle Sounders in 2012.

Seattle's roster includes Designated Players Albert Rusnak, Jordan Morris, and Pedro de la Vega. Meanwhile, Sporting KC recently secured a victory over Colorado Rapids with notable performances from Dejan Joveljic and goalkeeper John Pulskamp.

Both teams face challenges with key players unavailable due to suspensions or injuries. Referee Elijio Arreguin will oversee Saturday's game as it airs on Apple TV with an MLS Season Pass subscription and local radio coverage provided by 810 AM and 103.7 FM.
