Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced five new appointments to various positions across Missouri. These appointments include four board members and one county vacancy.
Nelson Dinsmore from Meadville has been appointed as the Linn County Presiding Commissioner. Dinsmore is a co-owner and general manager of Butterfield & Associates Grain, Inc., and a Missouri Certified Crop Advisor. He has previously served on the Meadville Board of Alderman and the Meadville R-IV School Board.
Heather Hall from Kansas City joins the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners. Hall has experience as Kansas City's 1st District Councilwoman and was involved with several community organizations such as Veterans Community Project and Variety KC.
Jim Martin from Perryville will serve on the Missouri Ethics Commission. A U.S. Army veteran, Martin has worked in education for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education - Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled, and currently leads River TREE Partnership in Perryville.
Ken McClure from Springfield also joins the Missouri Ethics Commission. McClure's background includes serving as Mayor of Springfield, vice president at Missouri State University, and Chief of Staff for Governor Matt Blunt.
Dr. Thomas Prater from Springfield is appointed to the Missouri School Funding Modernization Task Force. Dr. Prater is a physician at Mattax-Neu-Prater Eye Center in Springfield with past roles on both the Springfield City Council and R-12 Board of Education.
