Sporting Kansas City is set to face the Seattle Sounders at Children’s Mercy Park on Saturday evening. The match, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. CT, will be available for streaming on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV and broadcast locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Currently, Sporting Kansas City is just three points away from securing a playoff spot in the Western Conference after a recent victory over the Colorado Rapids. Interim head coach Kerry Zavagnin has guided the team to accumulate 22 points since March, with a record of six wins, five losses, and four draws.

The upcoming game against Seattle will coincide with Retro Night at Children's Mercy Park. Sporting last faced Seattle at Lumen Field in September 2024, where they suffered a 2-0 defeat.

Erik Thommy played a crucial role in Sporting's recent win over Colorado by contributing both a goal and an assist. Dejan Joveljic also continued his impressive form by scoring early in the match against Colorado.

Saturday's event will also feature a reunion of members from the 2000 Kansas City Wizards team that won both the Supporters’ Shield and MLS Cup. Notable figures such as Tony Meola, Preki, Bob Gansler, Chris Klein, and Kerry Zavagnin are expected to attend and be honored during halftime.
