The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their upcoming training camp, which will take place in St. Joseph. As part of this preparation, the team is evaluating its wide receiver group, which currently includes 13 players. This evaluation comes after a series of injuries affected key players last season.

Among the returning players is Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, who was sidelined for most of the previous season due to an injury but managed to make a significant impact upon his return. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes emphasized Brown's influence on the team: "You throw Hollywood in there, it kind of sets everybody perfectly in their roles," Mahomes said. "When you have that many weapons out there, it's hard for the defense to account for [everybody]. Hollywood has made a huge impact on this offense."

Skyy Moore and Nikko Remigio also return to the lineup with hopes of contributing more significantly after limited appearances last season due to injuries and practice squad placements respectively.

Rashee Rice showed promise early last year before a knee injury cut his season short. He is now healthy and ready to continue as one of the team's leading receivers.

Justyn Ross and JuJu Smith-Schuster will be aiming to prove themselves during this offseason as they look to secure more playing time. Meanwhile, Tyquan Thornton rejoined Kansas City late last year and looks forward to utilizing his speed effectively within the Chiefs' system.

Xavier Worthy had an impressive rookie season and aims to build on that performance. His speed makes him a formidable asset, evidenced by his record-setting 40-yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine.

New additions include veteran free agent Jason Brownlee and draft pick Jalen Royals, both bringing unique skills that could enhance the Chiefs' offensive capabilities.

Undrafted free agents Elijhah Badger, Mac Dalena, and Jimmy Holiday also join the competition for roster spots. Their performances during camp will determine if they can earn a place on the team.

The Chiefs have traditionally kept seven wide receivers on their roster at the start of each season, leaving limited spots available among these contenders. The health status of key players like Brown and Rice remains crucial as Kansas City seeks an improved offensive showing compared to last year's injury-plagued campaign.
