Sporting Kansas City is set to face the Colorado Rapids on July 4th, marking a significant match under the stars as part of Independence Day celebrations. Fans can catch all the action via MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.

Sporting Kansas City travels to Carson City following a 1-1 draw at home against Real Salt Lake. In that match, Sporting was initially trailing but managed to equalize with a crucial goal from Erik Thommy. The game featured goals, saves, and a red card for Jake Davis, who will be unavailable for this upcoming match due to suspension. However, Zorhan Bassong returns to bolster the midfield after his participation in the Gold Cup quarterfinals.

Currently sitting twelfth in the Western Conference standings with 20 points, Sporting aims to climb higher in pursuit of a playoff spot.

Colorado Rapids present a formidable challenge as they hold eighth place in the same conference with 26 points. Despite only being six points ahead of Sporting, their recent form has been mixed. In June, Colorado secured four points from four matches, including a win and a draw. Their last outing ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw against New England Revolution after squandering a three-goal lead. Key players Rafael Navarro, Calvin Harris, and Ted Ku-DiPietro scored in that match. Darren Yapi also remains pivotal for Colorado's attack with two goals and three assists this season.

The match will take place at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park on Friday, July 4th. For more updates and coverage in Spanish, visit ES.SportingKC.com.
