Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jack Kortkamp has been selected to participate in the MLS NEXT All-Star Game, as announced by Major League Soccer. The event, presented by Allstate, will take place at Parmer Field in Austin, Texas on July 21 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed live on MLS' YouTube channel and MLSsoccer.com.

The match will feature emerging soccer talents from North America in an East vs. West format. Of the 44 players participating, nearly half have advanced to sign Homegrown deals or play in MLS NEXT Pro. Approximately 65% of past participants have signed professional contracts, with over 30 alumni currently active in MLS.

"This is our privilege to honor the work that these players and their clubs have put in all season," said Luis Robles, MLS NEXT Technical Director. "We’re excited to see them compete on July 21st and experience MLS All-Star Week in Austin."

Kortkamp developed through the Sporting KC Academy from U-14 to U-19 levels before signing as a Homegrown Player last December. He made his debut for Sporting KC II last June and has started six games this season with one clean sheet.

MLS NEXT and Allstate are offering unique opportunities during the All-Star Week, including training sessions and skills challenges. Dan Keats, director of Sponsorships at Allstate stated, "Sponsoring the MLS NEXT All-Star Game is about investing in the future of the sport and celebrating the hard work, character and potential of these standout players from across the U.S. and Canada."

The selection process concluded after the 2024-25 regular season and included players born between 2008-10 who competed in various premier events.

The East team will be coached by Javier Carrillo from Orlando City SC Academy while Jason Shackell from Austin FC will lead the West team.
