Sporting Kansas City is set to face Real Salt Lake on Saturday, June 28, at Children’s Mercy Park. The match will feature former Sporting players Johnny Russell and William Agada, now playing for Real Salt Lake. Additionally, Sporting will honor Matt Besler as a new member of Sporting Legends with his name being added to the stadium.

Fans can watch the game through MLS Season Pass via the Apple TV app if they are not in Kansas City.

Sporting returns to their home ground after a comeback victory against Charlotte FC earlier this week. They were trailing by one goal going into stoppage time but managed to equalize in the 93rd minute with a goal from Mason Toye, assisted by Manu García. Just three minutes later, Dejan Joveljić scored the winning goal after receiving a pass from Santi Muñoz.

Currently sitting in twelfth place in the Western Conference standings with 19 points, Sporting is inching closer to playoff contention. Joveljić leads the team with 11 goals and two assists and is also competing for the MLS Golden Boot.
