Governor Mike Kehoe has officially signed Senate Bill 348 into law, a move that designates Branson as the "Live Entertainment Capital of Missouri." The signing took place in Branson and marks the recognition of the city's contribution to entertainment through music, performances, and family activities.

The bill encompasses 46 additional designations that honor various people, places, and causes throughout Missouri. These include honorary awareness days, weeks, and months, as well as titles for cities and towns. Roads and bridges will also be named in tribute to individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities. Among those honored are several Missourians who lost their lives in service.

Governor Kehoe expressed gratitude towards legislators for their efforts in recognizing important figures and causes within the state. "We appreciate the efforts of legislators to honor and recognize the people, places, and causes that are important to their constituents," he stated. He further acknowledged Branson's longstanding tradition of welcoming visitors with top-tier entertainment by saying, "For decades, Branson has welcomed millions of visitors with world-class music, performances, and family entertainment. I was proud to sign this legislation in Branson today as we recognize the people and stories behind each of these designations."
