Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has released his annual rankings of the top 100 players in the NFL, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes securing the top spot for the third consecutive year. Prisco noted that despite any debates over Mahomes' statistics, "he would still be the first player picked in any open draft."
Mahomes is one of six Kansas City Chiefs players included in Prisco's list. Joining him are center Creed Humphrey at No. 16, defensive tackle Chris Jones at No. 18, cornerback Trent McDuffie at No. 46, offensive guard Trey Smith at No. 75, and tight end Travis Kelce at No. 96.
As he enters his eighth season as the primary starter for the Chiefs, Mahomes leads the league in passing yards and touchdowns since 2018 and has guided Kansas City to more regular-season and playoff victories than any other team during that period. Additionally, Mahomes holds records for passing yards and touchdowns through a player's first 112 games in NFL history.
