Sporting Kansas City is set to face Charlotte FC for the first time in a Major League Soccer match at Children's Mercy Park, Kansas City, on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass and Apple TV+, with radio coverage available locally.

Tickets for the event are available through SeatGeek, offering packages such as the Coca-Cola Family & Friends 4-Pack. Fans attending the match can bring a sealed bottle of water and have access to exclusive SportingStyle merchandise.

Charlotte FC arrives in Kansas City as part of a five-game road trip. The team is led by head coach Dean Smith and features players like Wilfried Zaha and Liel Abada, both having scored five goals this season. Charlotte's Patrick Agyemang leads the team with six goals.

On the defensive side, Charlotte has allowed the most shots on target in MLS this season. Sporting Kansas City ranks last in shots on target per game but will look to Serbian striker Dejan Joveljic and Hungarian winger Daniel Salloi to lead their attack.

Joveljic has been effective with ten goals this season and holds a streak of goal contributions in five consecutive matches. Salloi follows with five goals and four assists this season.

Both teams will miss key players due to injuries or international duties. Sporting KC will play without Khiry Shelton, Dany Rosero, Robert Voloder, Zorhan Bassong, and Nemanja Radoja. Charlotte FC will miss Patrick Agyemang and Tim Ream due to their participation in the Concacaf Gold Cup.

The match commentary will be available in English and Spanish across various platforms including local radio stations Sports Radio 810 WHB on 810 AM and 103.7 FM.
