Children’s Mercy Kansas City has announced the construction of a new multi-specialty ambulatory clinic in Wichita, Kansas. The facility aims to serve more than 10,000 pediatric patients in the region, addressing the community's growing healthcare needs.
Alejandro Quiroga, CEO and President of Children’s Mercy, expressed the institution’s commitment to improving pediatric health in the area. "We are committed to caring for kids close to home – it reduces family stress, saves time and ensures continuity of care with regular health care providers, which leads to better health outcomes and a more positive experience,” Quiroga stated. He emphasized that the new clinic will deepen the organization's support for children's health in the region.
The standalone facility will cover 18,000 square feet and is situated at the intersection of North Greenwich Road and East 28th Street N. The design will focus on optimizing space, fostering collaboration, and enabling expanded services.
Mary Ann Queen, Vice President and Associate Chief Medical Officer for Regional and Outreach Services, noted, "We’re thrilled to expand our ability to deliver exceptional clinical care to more children and families in the region.” She highlighted Children’s Mercy's longstanding presence in Wichita and its role in fostering community health.
Since 2012, Children’s Mercy has been a vital part of south-central Kansas, offering world-class pediatric care through specialty clinics such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Nephrology. The new clinic will further extend specialty offerings both in-person and via telemedicine.
Amy Fallon, President of Regional Operations, remarked on the established care provided by Children’s Mercy, saying, “For thirteen years, we’ve delivered excellent, timely and coordinated care for families at Children’s Mercy’s Wichita ambulatory center. As a leading children’s health organization, we are thrilled to increase health care access for families in the Wichita community.”
The new clinic is set to open in Summer 2026.
