Governor Kehoe appoints individuals to state boards and fills county vacancy

Today, Governor Mike Kehoe made announcements regarding appointments to various boards and commissions, as well as filling a county office vacancy.

Steve Black from Maysville has been appointed to the Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents. Black is a cattle and grain farmer who also works as a business consultant in manufacturing and operations management. His previous experience includes serving as vice president at Johnson Controls, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.

Brian Munzlinger of Williamstown has been appointed to the Mid-America Port Commission. Munzlinger has served as both a Missouri State Senator and State Representative, focusing on agriculture and infrastructure policy. He is involved with several agricultural organizations and earned his degree in General Agriculture from the University of Missouri.

Lynn Portell from Potosi will serve as the Washington County Commissioner. Portell is retired from Arkansas Power and Light (now Ameren) where he worked for over 30 years. He remains active in his community, notably as board president of Pleasant Hill Christian Church.
