Children’s Mercy Kansas City has announced the promotion of four hospital leaders. This comes shortly after the pediatric hospital appointed a new CEO.
Stephanie Meyer, who has been with Children's Mercy for 26 years, was promoted from Chief Nursing Officer to Chief Nursing Executive and COO for inpatient operations. In her expanded role, she will manage inpatient care operations and move from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President. As Chief Nursing Officer, Meyer oversees a team of more than 3,000 nurses. Her leadership included guiding the hospital's staff in treating 12 injured patients during the Super Bowl rally shooting in February 2024.
